Busy weekend

We've had a busy weekend so far. On Friday afternoon, we went to the hospital to meet the newborn son of our good friends Scott and Lexie. Baby Caden was born on Thursday night at 6:41pm and weighed 8lbs 9oz. Caden was born via c-section, and has a perfect little face that looks very much like his Daddy's. Quite a handsome boy who we look forward to watching grow up. Welcome to the world, Caden! And big congratulations to Scott and Lexie.

Friday night we had our friends Chad and Melissa and their daughter Madelyn over. Maddy is just a month younger than Cameron, and the kids have fun playing together. We had a nice salmon dinner, grilled by Greg and Chad. We sat on the patio...it was a perfect night to dine al fresco!

Saturday was garage sale day. Our next door neighbors were having a garage sale. We had a beautiful entertainment center that we've been trying to get rid of for ages (like for the last two years since we moved to Duvall) because we have built-ins in this house and didn't have a use for it. We put some pictures of it out for the garage sale, and lo and behold, someone bought it! I was thrilled to be able to get it out of our house, so we can now set up the shelves we purchased for Cameron's play room. I will post before and after pictures of this room once it's all put together.

We also celebrated Braden's (Greg's nephew) 16th birthday on Saturday night. Greg's brother and sister-in-law are planning to purchase Greg's company car in the spring when the lease is up, and it will be Braden's. Greg washed the car and they put big bows on it for him. We were there for the 'big reveal' and he had a huge smile on his face. It was cute to see him so excited.

We all went down to Ixtapa (the Mexican restaurant in town) for dinner, and then back to Jason and Heather's for ice cream and Rock Band after. It was a fun night. Happy Birthday Braden!!

This morning (Sunday) the people came by to pick up the entertainment center. It took 4 guys to load it in to two cars, but they got it done. It's been REALLY hot here the past few days, so we spent the morning outside with Cameron in his pool. We had some lunch and now Cam is napping and I'm trying to stay cool sitting by the fan.
